Hey I Am looking for some advice from a driver or someone in the police or dvla or just someone smart :) I am going to be buying a car but I am on a provisional so I will not be able to drive the car on my own as of yet however if I get my mums friend to drive it to an off road parking space is there some sort of day insurance that she can buy to get it there as I dont want to insure it till I am going to be driving it. Yet you cant drive it on the road without insurance and just before any1 says dont do it you will drive it your full license I am not going to do that as I will be joining the police one day and will not ruin my chances of a fantastic career. I just rented a car from Budget and it being my first rental, I wasn't exactly sure of all the terms and conditions... unbeknownst to me I could have used my own full coverage insurance with me. I flew out of state and rented a car for the wedding and just assumed I would need to buy their insurance policy, no one ever told me different. I did take my policy with me, but was never asked for that information. Then I get the bill back and they charged me 32.50 a day! Has anyone ever had this happen and how lenient are they if you've already returned the rental? Anything I can do? Please this is important. I need to know if any company sells cheap health insurance under $100 because my insurance got canceled because I'm not a full time student in college. Ok. i have a direct debit set up with swinton for my car insurance every 26th of the month. This december I got paid on the 18th and i have left no money in there for my direct debit to come out when they took it out on 29th decemeber. I was charged with impaired driving when i was 21. I fought it in court and it did nothing but make me spend lots of money and drag things out even more. Now i am 24 and get my full license back at the end of this month. I have had my license for the last year but with the interlock ignition condition on it. Not being able to afford the ignition interlock i decided to not drive. I am seeking advice from a insurance broker or somebody who has been charged with impaired and has gone through this.
